Avon Park Meal & Activity Center Re-opens!

NU-HOPE’s Avon Park Senior Meal and Activity Center, located right between City Hall and the Tax Collector’s Office, is finally re-opening!

This site offers free breakfast and lunches for seniors, as well as activities such as arts, crafts, exercise and speakers- all at no cost! It is a great place for our older residents to build a new network of friends, extend their tight budgets and enjoy fun and enriching activities.

The site had recently been closed while we made updates during our Phase 2 of remodeling the site. We are so excited that all of the construction is finished and the site can finally reopen.

To celebrate, NU-HOPE is holding an Open House on May 14th from 10 am-1 pm. At the Open House, you can meet the new Site Manager and other staff, check out our enhanced Activity Calendar, and see the interior and exterior renovations (better accessibility, wall moved, etc.) Seniors will even be able to sign up to attend the site on a regular basis.

Stop on by the center on May 14th and check it out. It may be just what you- or someone you know- is looking for. We hope to see you there!
