NU-HOPE Opens New Senior Meal and Activity Center in Sebring

NU-HOPE Elder Care Services is proud to announce that the Sebring Senior Meal and Activity Center is now open and accepting new participants!

At the Senior Meal & Activity Centers, NU-HOPE provides seniors (age 60+) with meals and a variety of activities including games, BINGO, art classes and exercise- all without adding an additional burden to their already stressed budgets.

NU-HOPE has Senior Meal and Activity Centers in Avon Park, Lake Placid, Sebring and Wauchula. This newest site is located at the southern end of Sebring, just off of Highway 27 behind the Dunkin’ Donuts/Arby’s/Captain D’s restaurants. The address is 3400 Office Park Road in Sebring.

Formally known as Congregate Meal sites, the Activity Centers place a strong emphasis on socialization and learning, as well as providing meals. NU-HOPE recognizes that, while nutritious meals are important, they are only PART of what keeps seniors healthy- physically and mentally. Social engagement, interesting activities, and opportunities for learning are ALSO critically important.

Each location provides seniors with the opportunity to enjoy nutritious meals, make friends, explore new activities, and learn about local resources and ways to maximize their well-being. The centers are open 5 days a week. Transportation may also be available.

For more information about our various services, how to sign up for the Senior Meal and Activity Center, or ways that you can help the Senior Meal & Activity Centers blossom in the days ahead, please call NU-HOPE at 863-382-2134.
