NU-HOPE Elder Care Services, Inc (NU-HOPE) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing the live of seniors and caregivers living in Highlands and Hardee County. We could not achieve our many successes without the support of our community, including all of the businesses, organizations, and individuals who so generously donate to the agency to offset the cost of providing our services.

We cannot thank each one of them enough. Their support has allowed us to proudly serve our community for the past 50 years.

Why does our community support NU-HOPE? Perhaps our mission says it all…

NU-HOPE’s mission is to promote the physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing of seniors and caregivers. Our main goals are to preserve the health, dignity and independence of seniors; support the efforts of caregivers;  and to prevent/delay nursing home placement.

Services offered by NU-HOPE include home delivered meals; socialization and meals at Activity Centers; help with bathing and personal care, homemaking, and transportation; respite services, caregiver stipends and reimbursements, and case manager support; assistance obtaining consumable medical supplies; crisis energy assistance and other forms of client and caregiver support.

Each year, NU-HOPE helps over 400 older adults maintain their independence and remain living in their own homes.

To fund the many services provided by NU-HOPE, the agency relies of a variety of State and Federal grants. However, these only partially cover the cost of providing our many services.

NU-HOPE could not achieve its many successes without the support of our community partners. Together, we change lives. Thank you!
